50 hr Yin Yoga with TCM Theory

30 April - 7 May

& 2-9 October

Functional anatomy, pranayama, Taoist & meridian practices

Is this course for you?

This 50-hour course is a continuous education program for teachers and Yoga practitioners of all levels who:

Would like to explore and deepen their understanding of Yin Yoga, putting attention to what is happening inside the body

• Want to experience and share the powerful benefits of pranayama, Chinese Medicine Theory and yoga

• Would like to integrate Yin Yoga and Breath work as a tool to maintain a healthy body and mind

• Are already Yoga teachers or wanting to be, looking to expand their skill set and offerings in the field of Yin Yoga, in order to guide and share this beautiful practice.

By the end of this course, you will have the skills, tools, and confidence to teach Yin Yoga and guide others through the practice in a safe and responsible way.

You will be able to sequence unique Yin Yoga sessions, focussing on particular target areas in the body as well as integrating pranayama and meridian practice for organ health.

You will learn how to create a safe space for practitioners to really let go and release - creating an experience rather than just an ordinary Yin Yoga class.

Throughout your week with us you will have many opportunities to teach to your fellow students, giving and receiving constructive feedback from students and teacher. We strongly encourage each student to discover and develop her/his unique style and voice as a teacher. We do not create a monologue of how and what the teachers should say in their classes.

This training is recognized by Yoga Alliance ( YACEP) and upon completion, you can teach yoga anywhere in the world.

The course focuses equally on four educational categories: Asana practice, Breathwork, Functional Anatomy, Teaching Skills & The Art of Sequencing.

“Nariyah's yoga classes, teacher trainings and retreats are phenomenal! Her sense of authentic, embodied transformation is so inspiring. It feels like she takes you by the hand and says, "If I did it, so can you…"

Course Creator & Teacher:

Janine Berhrend

Janine’s Yoga journey started in 2008. Like many others, she found her way into Yoga through the practice of Asana (posture). Having been a gymnast and professional dancer since early childhood, Yoga was her gateway into recovering the physical body from aesthetically demanding postures. Asanas felt organic to her.

It didn’t take long for her to realise the transformational powers that Yoga has to offer, which go beyond the physical benefits. At the heart of all the forms of Yoga, is the assumption, that one has not yet tapped into their full potential as a human being. Yoga puts us in touch with our innermost nature - that which we truly are.

She feels it is her dharma to support people on that path of finding their truth and living from a place of truth, which allows for liberation and freedom! Life is a gift and we are here to create an experience.

“Magic is a shift in perception! “, as Sharon Gannon likes to say.

Janine has facilitated over 25 Yoga Teacher Trainings and guided over 300 people worldwide through the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training curriculum.

She is part of the global Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Community as well as Yoga Alliance Continuing Education provider for teachers from all around the world, focusing on the Yin Yoga method and Alignment & Adjustments for Yang Yoga ( the art of teaching and sequencing).

She is convinced that Yoga is for everyone and should be taught in an inclusive way with a down-to-earth approach. Authenticity is key.Different bodies, different needs. Its about finding the balance ( Tula ) in everything. During her teachings she likes to combine various techniques with a strong focus on alignment and consciousness within the practice. Once the foundation is build - we can start to flow! Her teachings are integrative and go beyond the practice of Asana. She incorporates Yoga philosophy as well as the practice of Bhakti (mantra. Her passion lies in sharing exactly that with students and future Yoga teachers.

Life is a journey and we will never stop learning - her knowledge comes from various different methods. Her teaching comes with integrity - therefore she feels she will never stop being a student of Yoga.

Chef & menu creator:

Cristina Alimentart

Cristina had her first experience of consciousness through food, doing a rice fast, which helped her to connect with her spiritual side and also to heal from an illness.

From then on she did not stop training in this diet called macrobiotics, based on the search for the balance of yin and yang and adapting it to seasonal and local organic products.

She also trained in gestalt and body therapy to be able to support the emotional side.

For the last 8 years she has been working as a private chef, specialising in retreats. From the kitchen she helps the work of the retreats so that the food is energetic and helps the process, creating a special menu for each one of them.

Cristina has trained as a macrobiotic teacher and consultant, at the macrobiotic school in Spain. Offering 1-1 sessions in nutrition consultancy through macrobiotic diagnostic.

She also has a degree in Fine Arts which shows through her dishes being as artistic as possible- the taste starts from the eyes.

Cooking is her way of caring and as she says cooking is always "from the heart to the hands".
